This year, there is a full schedule for the ICALEPCS and the EPICS control meeting will be held the Saturday and Sunday before the ICALEPCS. As there is a full international meeting following the EPICS meeting, we would like to skip any status talks or talks that will be given at the ICALEPCS.There are several topics that we would like to cover and we have dedicated the Sunday afternoon session to a XAL, the package developed by the SNS for physics applications. To dovetail with that, we would like to have a Control System Studio meeting that day as well as a meeting on any other high level physics applications that should be covered. A correlation plot talk from SLAC for instance would be very interesting in this session.

On Saturday, we would like to cover any embedded control, timing solutions, fast feedback, or other real-time applications that are not covered in ICALEPCS. The Saturday session will also include work on the JAVA based IOC that Marty ahs been working on. An update from Andrew would also be interesting on this Saturday session.

We are looking for meeting rooms during the conference to have further workshops during the week. If you are interested in hosting one of these meetings - please let me know.

Please submit topics (along with a short description if you could) for the EPICS portion of the meeting through the ICALEPCS web page or to Kay Kasemir and Bob Dalesio

Thanks,
Bob
