The web server machine that runs the EPICS website is being upgraded
tomorrow (2007-07-10) from about 5:30pm CST which is 22:30 UTC. The
upgrade is expected to take about 2 hours, and during this time the
website may be completely unavailable or only partially working - for
example the Wiki pages and Mantis bug database rely on a MySQL database
for which the upgrade will take longer than the PHP4 => PHP5 upgrade.
The EPICS website itself will not be changing, so when everything has
settled down it should look just as it did before. It is not guaranteed
that it will be completely functional following the upgrade however — I
have tested most parts of the site, but may have missed some things. I
will work on any obvious issues immediately, but I may not be aware of
all pages that don't work, so please let me know if you come across
something broken after about Thursday. Searches on the Wiki have never
worked properly; I don't expect that to change at all.
