Dear EPICS folk,
The LCLS project at SLAC is seeking a good save and restore tool (something along the lines of BURT or SCORE) to manage saving and restoring specified PVs on demand.
Does anyone have any recommendations or experiences to share with us? We appreciate your input.
thanks,

We use sddscasr.

Hairong Shang knows more about this and can probably explain how it is
more efficient than burt. But my basic understanding is that it can run
in daemon mode where it maintains connections to the PVs so that it is
faster when it is asked to do a save or a restore.
