Zen,

Check out the page at

If you are interested, I can tell you how to download the code.

Best wishes,

Zen,
I think the Active X LabVIEW package is no longer maintained. I currently
use the Simple Channel Access package, but that has a problem (here, anyway)
where the PC's CPU goes to 100% when the IOC connection is lost and then
restored. National Instruments now offers a Channel Access interface (a
module in their Data Supervisory & Control package that attaches to their
Shared Variable engine) that I plan to try out this summer. The SNS project
has a high performance EPICS/LabVIEW interface.

Subject: Active X CA Server for LabVIEW

I am developing a set of applications, some in LabVIEW on MS Windows and some
written is c++ to run on linux. I chose Epics Channel Access for
communication and data sharing. I am using the Active X CA Server and the
LabVIEW vi's that go with it which seem to be dated to 2002 and earlier
(judging from file modification dates). The package was created or put
together by Kay-Uwe Kasemir. Is this the latest version of that software?
Are there known problems with the package?
I am asking because I am having difficulties with this software. Under some
conditions, which I cannot yet reproduce, the server seems to hang. Stopping
my labview applications and restarting them clears the problem. I notice
that when I stop the applications both Epics~1 and Epics~2 go away and they
come back when I start the programs again.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
