Hello Choi,

the most straightforward and cleanest way to achieve this:
Configure multiple additional (logical) network interfaces with different IP addresses that use the same (physical) ethernet card on your Linux box.
Start each soft IOC pointing its Channel Access Server to a different of the additional network interfaces, using the environment variables described in the CA Reference Manual.

That way your multi IOC Linux host really looks like a bunch of separate IOCs with separate IP addresses. No confusion or problems with shared ports should occur. Also - seen from the CA client side - you always know which of the soft IOCs you are connected to, as you can distinguish them by IP numbers.

Hope this helps,
Ralph

Hello..
Excuse me, I have a question about using muti IOC
I ran an IOC on Linux computer..
System informaion
EPICS IOC OS : Radhat Linux9.0
EPICS Extensions OS : Radhat Linux9.0
EPICS base : Release R3.14.8.2 (IOC, Extensions)
We wanna run more one IOC on one Linux...
I tried to run two st.cmd files..
the error meassage is like below...
cas warning : configure TCP port wwas unavailable
cas warning : using dynamicaly assigned TCP port 36885
cas warning : but now two or more severs share the same UDP port
cas warning : Depending on your IP kernel this server may not be
cas warning : reachable with UDP unicast (a host's IP in EPICS_CA_ADDR_LIST)
I have alreadly read channel access reference manual and found tech tech content..
However, I didn't configure to solve this error...
How I do configure to solve our problem? We must run multi(two, three or four) IOCs on a Linux computer.
Could you say to me a comment or a method?
Thank you very much, Happy New Year!
