Hi Zhong,
I've been playing with my own python/epics interface some over the
past few weeks, borrowing from the KEK CaPython314 and older CaPython
from Geoff Savage -- I also have run into some problems with each of
these. I think I have a fairly clean version of channel access that
always uses monitor callbacks, and seems to be very efficient, though
I have not tried to include threading support (which may be related to
the issues you're having with the KEK CaPython).
It runs the wxPython test you posted just fine on Fedora Core 5
(x86_64 with gcc 4.1.1, wxPython 2.6.3.2, and python 2.4) and Mac OS
X, though I have not tested it with python2.5 or Windows (yet). I'm
still working on documentation and some of the details of this latest
version, but if you're interested in trying it out, let me know.
