I am not sure if xprop works on solaris.
But xprop is part of X, and will only work if the medm window is ALREADY
open. That is if you enter the medm command and the xprop right after,
the xprop will not work because the adl file is not yet open.
So you may need to use the sleep command.
An alternative is to soft link the adl file and open that new file.
Those are the only 2 solutions I have found. In that latter case, you
cannot get rid of the adl extension.
Annoying huh?
