The control system at the Advanced Light Source uses about 15 cPCI
crates with mcp750 CPUs running VxWorks. They have been in the system
for about 5 years. Eric Williams works more with them than I have
the past few years; he wrote the global fast-orbit feedback system
that runs on 12 of them.
The biggest problem I can recall is with the crate hardware: making
sure not to bend pins when plugging in cards, especially our custom
rear I/O modules.
