This is what I  meant that VME is not aging because VXS provides a
a path for future evolution.

Disappear ?  I hope this is application driven instead of user demands.
For one of our applications, we might
achieve ten times of 800 Mbytes I/O via the front panel of the PMCS
on  ten MVME6100, especially when the source locates at far distance.
The VXS  solution is truly pricy.
