In order to deal with the demands of new instrument development as well as maintenance of and upgrades to the existing suite, the data acquisition and electronics group seeks an electronics/control engineer to augment the current staff. This individual would have a hand in designing, integrating, and maintaining electronics and applications software in support of neutron scattering experiments. We have such needs in motion control, neutron event detection, counting, and histogramming, and process control (temperature, magnetic field, etc). The best qualified individual would have skills in digital and analog electronics design and integration, as well as skills in computer systems programming and application design and implementation in C/C++, TCL, Python, and Labview on the Linux and Windows platforms. Depending on experience, the position would command an annual salary of $45,000 - $90,000.
