Which document(s) imply this? It is *not* possible to add or delete records to an after the call to iocInit() from the startup script. In the future it might become possible to add new record instances, but I don't think the current code-base will ever permit deleting records (that would need a complete rewrite of IOC Core which could not be made compatible with existing record types and device support).
