Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
Hello. I'm working on a Java/Eclipse program using the Java based Eclipse client. It mostly books value callbacks from tree views, and polls values from a table view. It is a fairly large dataset (a couple of thousand PV's).
It seems to work fine the majority of the time, but often when you close the program and restart it, it will disconnect shortly after coming up, and the server will throw a "Missaligned protocol rejected" followed by a "forcing disconnect".
Two related questions:
1. What causes this error. Is there a common thing I may be doing wrong?
2. Is there something that needs to be done when shutting down a Java program, so the client disconnects and reconnects cleanly?
Thanks,
Harley.
