Subject: CA overload 32 * 9 waveforms etc.

Hello all,

I have a linux computer with 9 ADCs each with 32 waveforms.

It seems that when I open enough waveform medm displays, the GUI doesn't
update anymore. medm is runnning on the same computer as the ADCs.

I noticed that sometimes, when I open even more display, then the medm
GUI updates correctly.

The more WF PV are requested, the slower the update rate.
(waveform frame rate goes down).

Although I have an idea, can anybody tell me what is happening?
Better yet, can anybody tell me how can I circumvent this problem?
(maybe better cpu? larger memory? epics configuration? etc. )

Thanks,
