I am currently working on ASYN device support; for a R3.14.x ioc; for the 875X Controllers from New Focus. I did this for our accelerator diagnostic group which only needs basic control of the picomotors. Presently we can move a motor clockwise or counter-clockwise a relative number of pulses, or continuously while the operator holds the medm button down. The motor acceleration, and velocity can also be adjusted. We use RS-232 for the communication link, but with this being ASYN device support, ethernet will also work. I have database templates that I created using VDCT, which allows you to add drivers as needed up to a total of 9 driver modules that would allow you to control up to 27 single axis motors. The templates probably could be modified to work with other macro substitutions methods if you don't use VDCT. If you're interested, I can send you what I have finished at this point.
