You may find some of this useful.
http://ics-web1.sns.ornl.gov/share/SNS-T2-2.tzf

The local directory contains local add-ons to the kernel. To keep from
sharing bsp source I sent you diffs of the all, 2100 and 5100 dirs.

I have also included the Makefile from the 2100's BSP. My build system
gets some inspiration from the epics build system. I build several
kernels from the same BSP, each configured a little different way. This
assumes that you have a Tornado installation on Solaris.

Some of the files in local may be of interest. I think I have
documented how they get called and these mostly come from the all
directory. One trick we have is that we can configure the network stack
and memory mapping on the boot line. The latter may not be needed on a
68K type cpu. Andrew's reboot hook is also in there.

Lastly, the template directory is our attempt at making the kernel live
in harmony with our ADE. The RULES_BUILD there is how we set an IOC to
boot from a particular iocBoot release with a particular kernel version.

Most of the rest of the stuff there is PPC specific.

We are running on the MVME162.
