Take a calcout record -----
>From the temperature controller - FLNK to an AO record that writes the index of
the .1 second menu item (is it a 3?) to the SCAN field of a calcout record
(thisCalc) that reads the temperature as follows:
INPA temperature NPP
INPB temperature PP
CALC (A-B)<20?3:(A-B)<10?4:(A-B)<4?5:0
OUT thisCalc.SCAN
This should change the SCAN field of this calc record - reducing it from .1
second, to .2 second to .5 second until it sets it back to Passive.
I'm not sure the application - but it seems ill advised to stop scanning the
temperature unless there is nothing else that would cause it to change. Isn't
there the possibility of a rupture - or sudden ice age onslaught like in the
movies?

Subject: Variable scan rate
Hello ,
I would like to have a scan rate that works as follow:
( example: for temperature readback record)
The record starts in passive mode
When I change the temperature settings, the record should have a high scan rate.
When the readback stabilizes, the scan rate should decrease and after some amout of time go back to passive.
Did anybody implement this type of scan ?
If so how?
Thanks,
