Sorry about the website link. It is apparently a frame so a little
more navigation is necessary.
To download the EPICS installer and Objective-C framework for Mac OS
X, pleas visit:
http://ics-web1.sns.ornl.gov/ and select "Software" from the menu on
the left and then select "EPICS Installer".
I also want to offer my appreciation to those who provided the Mac OS
X (a.k.a. darwin-ppc) port of EPICS. All I have done is organize the
versions in a standard location, develop an EPICS Objective-C
framework and package them up into a standard Mac installer.
thanks,
-tom

Took me a minute to realize I had to go to the "Software" page to
find the other links.
I have created a standard Mac OS X installer for EPICS binaries
and also a new Objective-C EPICS framework designed for easy
integration with Cocoa based applications, tools, frameworks,
etc. The installer will install both the EPICS binaries and the
Objective-C framework. Two examples are provided which
demonstrate both the power and ease of use of the new framework.
Even if you don't use the framework, the installer is still useful
as a quick way of getting EPICS on a Mac without having to
recompile it for each user (not all EPICS users are developers).
I can provide the framework source to those interested. It is
likely to be source compatible with GNU Step, so porting to other
platforms should be easy.
This framework allows rapid development of rich Mac OS X
applications integrated with EPICS.
You can find a link to the installer at:
http://ics-web1.sns.ornl.gov/
and select the "EPICS Installer" link under the "EPICS" heading.
Be sure to read the "README" file before installing.
