The new release of EPICS, Version 3.14.8 is now available for download
from the EPICS website at APS. It contains many bug fixes, and the
ability to make hardware address changes at run-time (provided the
device support has been extended to support this). Additional host and
target support is provided for more Win32 build tools (mingw), and on
Posix systems we have included code to make use of thread priority
scheduling although this is not enabled by default.
Please be sure to read the RELEASE_NOTES.html file that comes with the
distribution, as there are some configuration file changes that sites
will need to be aware of.
Many thanks to the core developers for their hard work to achieve this
release.
