For what it is worth, I checked into the use of the Hytec
model #2404 at BNL's Accelerator Test facility. This facility
does *not* use EPICS. It uses Vista's Vsystem. Here are excerpted
comments from the user (I can post the entire reply if there is
interest):

I also have an electronic copy of the user manual. Although
I am sure Hytec can supply this to any interested parties, along
with price quotes.
