Yes,
As it happens I have a similar problem. While the Solution has not been
implemented yet, I am pursuing a BACNET/IP to OPC gateway/server (there are
several options here) and will then go OPC to Channel access. Check out
http://www-csr.bessy.de/control/SoftDist/OPCsupport/

You might like to check out some of the products at www.fieldserver.com.
Although I've not used personally used anything here, they seem to have a
useful number of options. BACNET itself comes in a variety of flavours- PTP,
MSTP, ARCNET and IP. We have BACNET/IP

Also, you might be interested in http://www.ethereal.com/. Ethereal is a
protocol analyser, has built in BACNET support and is open source.

I keep you informed of my progress if you wish.

Subject: Bacnet communication standard for building and automation

Hello,

does somebody knows about activities in the EPICS community to use the
BACnet communication standard to connect plants like air condition,
chiller, ...:
Bacnet:
*A Data Communication Protocol for Building Automation and Control
Networks*. Developed under the auspices of the American Society of
Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), BACnet
is an American national standard, a European pre-standard, and an ISO
global standard.
