I then executed the following script to define things:
$ cat /usr/local/bin/setup_epics

/base/bin/cygwin-x86:
/corvette/usr/local/epics/extensions_devel/bin/cygwin-x86"
export EPICS_HOST_ARCH=cygwin-x86
export HOST_ARCH=cygwin-x86

I then went to the EPICS 3.14.7 base directory and did
$ make clean uninstall
$ make

It worked fine, I did not get any errors.

I am not using cygwin to cross-compile for any other architectures, I am
only using it to build for cygwin-x86 itself.  Are you using it to
cross-compile?

Hi,

I am trying to build base EPICS 3.14.7 on Windows XP using latest
version of cygwin and I just wondering if someone did it lately.
It looks like I am doing something wrong because what I saw was:
1) missing file README@vxWorks, I had to import it into the directory
base-3.14.7/src/makeBaseApp/top/exampleBoot/ioc from the internet 
2) I had to remove line #25 (blank line) from
base-3.14.7/src/dbStatic/dbLex.l (otherwise compillation failed)
3) now I have problem with menuConvert.dbd in base-3.14.7/src/bpt
directory

$ pwd
/epics3.14.7/base-3.14.7/src/bpt

$ make cygwin-x86
make -C O.cygwin-x86 -f .../Makefile TOP=../../.. T_A=cygwin-x86
make[1]: Entering directory
`/epics3.14.7/base-3.14.7/src/bpt/O.cygwin-x86'

Can someone give any hint?
