Hello,

when calling dbStaticLib, for instance dbReadDatabase, from a host 
program, I want to redirect all error messages to stderr (so that I can 
redirect the output to a file and still get the error messages only to 
the console, not in the file).

Specifically, the messages that now go to stdout are caused by calls to 
errMessage.

Any hints appreciated.
