Since the SLAC-based LCLS project is gathering momentum, we will be holding the
next EPICS meeting at SLAC as an LCLS kick-off meeting, from April 27 to 29. We
realize these dates are somewhat abnormal, but we now do not conflict with other
big meetings at SLAC or elsewhere and have the good conference room(s)
reserved.
Bob Dalesio (and others) from LCLS will work with me (and others) in Controls
Software to host the meeting. A web site will appear soon.
There will be some blocks of rooms at local hotels; some of you may prefer to
stay at the SLAC guest house (http://www.slac.stanford.edu/dept/hds/SLAC) Those
rooms normally go quickly.
At the moment Bob and I see the following main topics:
Version 4 EPICS
Database Functional Specifications Review
Channel Access Review
Version 3.15
Functional Specifciation Presentation
Linux
Tools - focus on
Archiving
XAL
RDB
IRMIS work
ORNL RDB
RDBCore
Hardware
Master Pattern Generation - functional specification
As usual, we will assemble the agenda as people register (themselves, their
talks, and their interests).
Please send any questions or comments to Bob or myself until the official
complaint center (I mean registration page) is available on the web.
