We are using

Redhat on the OPI 's

and a variety on the IOC's including Red Hawk (Concurrent computers Real
time variant of  Red hat )

No real runs on the board yet (we move into the Facility building on
Monday!), but it all seems O.K. thus far

We are starting to look at converting our EPICS control system from Solaris

8 to Linux.

Has anyone in the EPICS community ever done a survey of who is using Linux
for EPICS, and what flavor/type of Linux they are using (RedHat, Fedora,
SuSI, Debian, Mandrake, etc).

I suspect that any of the major distributions can do the job. It would seem

to make the most sense for us to go with the flavor of Linux with the
largest user base in the EPICS community.
