The Keck observatory uses a Compumotor driver for the AX motor controllers
that was originally developed for the observatory by Jeff Hill. That driver
was extensively modified since then (1995?). It would probably require too
may modifications to be useful with the 6k8 controllers.

In addition, on the other telescope (there are twin Keck 10 meter telescopes)
we use drvAscii layered on top of drvSerial to control Compumotor SX
controllers. I think this solution should readily adapt to any of the 
Compumotor controllers that utilize a serial interface. 

Unfortunately, I have not had time to convert the drvAscii driver to be 
compatible with the async driver. The async driver could be another solution, 
as modifying that driver for use with Compumotors should not be too arduous.
