The "screen" program can detach a session from its VT and resume it from
another, e.g. do a
screen iocstartcmd
followed by Ctrl-a d to detach, then logout. To resume the session type
screen -r
any time later and it will resume using whatever VT you're on. I just verified
this works with the ioc example app from R3.14.6.
