It is absolutely possibly to run multiple VxWorks systems
in a VME crate. VMEbus is designed as a multi-master bus.
One of the issues that crops up is that each interrupt level
can only be "steered" to one of the masters. I.e. if you have
two I/O modules which require interrupt service, and you'd like
each VxWorks system to service one of the I/O modules, then
each module will have to use a different VMEbus interrupt level,
and each VxWorks system should only enable "sensitivity" to one
of the two interrupt levels.
There are also considerations of bus arbitration for
Basic read/write access. In my experience the most profound
Implication of this is that you need to include the bus grant
"daisy chain" jumpers on non-self-configuring backplanes.
