Learned Friends,

Today, we moved up to EDM 1-10-1n.  We are running EPICS version 3.14.4.

We encountered the following situation:
Some of our EDM windows, when first opened, will show a number of PV tools
grayed out.  The problem can be improved and eventually fixed by going to
EDIT mode and back to EXECUTE, one or more times.

The problem can also sometimes be fixed if the new window is started in a
location where the tools in question are out of the active area of the
screen.  Waiting a few seconds, then sliding the window into the active
screen shows all tools reporting for duty.

The issue appears to be a timeout of some sort, but that's just a guess.
Any ideas?
