If you want to compile base for vxWorks target systems, you will have to
change the VX_DIR entry in ...base.../configure/RELEASE to point to your
vxWorks installation.
(This is also mentioned in the file ...base.../documentation/README.1st
under "Software Requirements / Tornado 2".)
