Hi All,
after a visit in our hardware zoo we found that we might want to look
for a new solution for our standard trigger delays.
These are the features that we are looking for (more or less):
o VME form factor and bus
o One trigger in, 8 outputs with separately programmable delay and
pulse width
o Delay: range 0 - 100ms, resolution ~10ns
o Pulse: length 10ns - some 100us, polarity programmable
o Outputs can be suppressed separately (programmable)
o All output registers can be read back
We are now using a card by the ESRF (VPDU), which resembles a TTL
graveyard that we would rather replace or redesign than rebuild.
Our high precision high resolution triggers are handled by Highland's
V851/B951, which is too valuable to be used everywhere.
Ideas anyone? Open for suggestions!
Thanks for your cooperation!
Ralph
