Now I understand what  Stephanie  meant.  Also she
referred  the bug report
http://epics.aps.anl.gov/epics/base/R3-14/6-docs/KnownProblems.html.

For my application (2307 and 5500), I simply took out  the  line :
 #if defined(__PPC__) && defined(mpc750)
because  the  RTEMS VME API is the same  among the
mpc750, mvme2307 and mvme5500.
