Sorry but I am not the person to resolve the problem since I do not currently have an RTEMS test environment.

I will say that what we name devLib should probably have been called devVMELib or something like that.
I will guess that trying to extend devLib to other buses, e.g. PCI will be a mistake. Thus it should only support VME.

Note that src/libCom/osi/os/RTEMS/devLibOSD.c is only 324 lines of code so making this work on powerPC architectures other than mpc750 should not be very difficult. It currently has the statement:

#if defined(__PPC__) && defined(mpc750)

around all the code.

Perhaps Till Straumann can comment?

The support assumes that you have developed a base/src/libCom/osi/os/RTEMS/devLibOSD.c for your target. The devLibOSD.c that is delivered with base 3.14.6 only supports PPC mpc750. There's been discussion offline of tech-talk about the best way to have a more generic RTEMS devLib but I don't think that discussion came to any conclusion.

The devLibOSD.c works for the RTEMS-mvme5500 and RTEMS-mvme2307 as well. I thought the discussion is a bus dependent issue (e.g. VME v.s. PC ). However, Marty can explain the detail better than me.
