Just for completeness:

BESSY is using the VME-2 and VME-4 CAN interface cards by esd (6U VME
boards with 2 resp. 4 independent CAN interfaces).

Our software package is implementing parts of the CANopen protocol, so
it is layered (device support, protocol stack, generic CAN driver, low
level card driver) and not a bare bone low level CAN device support.
