Hello,

Does anyone have a naming service for EPICS that allows querys of all PV
names, build time and currently active?
I would like to be able to browse all channels in the system, and see
whether they are active on an IOC, designated as a channel in my system but
not currently running, or present on an IOC but unknown (hopefully not).

If not, are there any thoughts regarding standard directory services
interfaces (COS naming, LDAP) etc. that would be acceptable to the
community. I realise that this has been an issue for some time.
