gateway 2.0beta10 is built here at SLAC with epics 3.14.5 on solaris-sparc-gnu (Solaris 8) but we discovered, through trial and error, that it works only with gcc 3.1.x and not with 3.2.x.  We use gcc 3.2.3 on Linux RHEL 3 with no problem though.  Makes me wonder if our Solaris gcc 3.2 build is wrong.  I'd be interested in hearing experience from anybody using gateway 2.0beta on Solaris built with gcc 3.2 or above.
