Hello,

There are know issues with strip tool and EPICS R3.14.5 which don't exist
with EPICS R3.14.4 (see bug reports in Mantis). However, it initially
appears that the symptoms of your problem (failure to connect) do not match
well with the known issues documented in Mantis, and you mention that other
client side tools (ca_test etc) also do not connect properly. Please see the
trouble shooting section in a recent CA reference manual. After following
those steps, if you are still having troubles then feel free to send email
and I will see if I can make further suggestions.

Jeff
