Motorola came to SNS ~ 2weeks ago and said the end of life for the 2100,
5100 and a number of 68k's will be 2005 - 2006. The replacement for a
5100 will be a 6100 which is due out in a couple of months.
Was that really an End Of Life for the whole of the MVME2100 family, or
was it just for the 64MB RAM MVME2101 model, which I know SNS was
explicitly specifying in the past? The latter would agree with what
Motorola told us a year or two ago; the former would be a significant
issue for the APS, and in my experience somewhat uncharacteristic of
Motorola (although given the current economic conditions not that hard to
believe).
