I'm using drvIpac 1.7 on an MV167 with EPICS 3.13.4. Since I'm using the GreenSpring IP-Octal card, extra memory needs to be allocated. In the startup file, the command Inside the above string the second and third parameters give the carrier board's memory address and size in A24 space, which must match the jumpers set on the board. If you're only using this carrier for an OctalUART then I'd recommend using a memory size (third parameter and E2 board jumpers) of 128 which is the smallest possible jumper setting according to my (very old) manual - I thought there was a 64 setting too, but it's not described here. With the above setting your board is taking up A24 space from 0xA00000 to 0xBFFFFF (512K * 4 slots), which you can reduce to just 0xA00000-0xA80000 with the 128 setting. That will give you more room in the A24 space for other boards - if you don't already have one, create yourself a memmory map of each of the A16, A24 and A32 spaces on your VME crate showing exactly which addresses each board occupies. HTH, - Andrew -- Dear God, I didn't think orange went with purple until I saw the sunset you made last night. That was really cool. - Caro
