We here at D0(Fermilab) are using set of tools (written in Python) to store
PV variables directly in Oracle database. We use CA from EPICS to access
IOC's and DCOracle2 to access database. We use it as slow archiver with
archive rates from 5 secs and up. If you are interested, I can give you more
details.

Subject: Oracle archiver
Hi, everyone,
Now I manage to store datum retrieved from hardware on ioc (e.g. pv
values) into ORACLE database system. I think there are two solutions, one is
directly use the interface provided by EPICS to access pv channel, the other
is use ORACLE facilities to load the archived files archived by Channel
Archiver. I wonder if there are some sites who have realize this or are
contributing on this. Can you give me some instructions on this?
Best wishes and regards,
Huang song, IHEP
