Hi,
I am doing a survey of how many sites are using or plan to the MVME2101
as an IOC. We at the SNS have about 30 operational.
When we are finally finished with construction we plan to have
hundreds. Please respond as to how many MVME2101 your site has or plans
to use.
Recently, we experienced many IOC network issues under vxWorks 5.4.2.
These have been addressed through proper vxWorks "network stack
configuration/tuning" and the incorporation of a new network driver from
Wind River Systems. The new network driver is the same one that ships
with vxWorks 5.5.1
The CA Tools from Jeff Hill (casw) and Ken Evans (caSnooper) were also
very helpful in understanding and resolving IOC network issues
The MVME2101 is not as mature as the MVME2700 or MVME172. So, in
retrospect we were not completely surprized by the patches required in
the BSP and drivers to get the robustness required for an EPICS IOC.
