Ah, now I see - you're probably talking about a soft IOC running on Windows, Linux or Solaris (on vxWorks your question doesn't make much sense, which is why Noboru and I were confused to begin with). The IOC code wasn't really written with closedown in mind because it was originally aimed at long-running vxWorks systems, so there's nothing quite like what you're after built into it. However, there's no reason why code intended for host-based IOCs can't register its own exit handler using the standard OS atexit() method, although you can't rely on the order in which this is run related to tasks being closed down etc. HTH, - Andrew -- There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
