If my memory of the board is correct, the Bancomm time registers can be
read in one particular order to latch the input time. This is documented
in the user manual - I can't recall what the correct order is though. I
would also suggest you try to get hold of a copy of the driver that Gemini
and/or JCMT use, it should provide all of the facilities that you might
need, links into the EPICS timestamp driver and doesn't suffer from the
rollover problem.
