Upgrading GNU make from v3.76.1 to v3.78.1 has fixed the problem.  Although
I had to run the vcvars32.bat file from the VC++ bin directory to build GNU
make 3.78.1, so maybe this cured the problem??!?

I can now build EPICS 3.14.2 successfully under Windows.

Hi,

I am having problems building 3.14.2 under Windows.  I have WinNT4 with
Perl, gnumake and VC++ 6.0 installed.  When make encounters the first cl
command it returns the following errors:
