Hi
Ben
Thanks
for your answering. The 2'nd proposal I had already implemented but it
isn't really a nice programming because each time when the IO Intr. triggered
subroutine was called the flag has always been checked before. It may be able
to influence the system load, depending on the cycle-time of the EPICS queue in
fact. The first point seems more for a compliant solution for further efforts.

The subRecord does not provide for this. In the record support, the
address of the routine whose name is given in field INAM is thrown away
after init_record has executed it. There are two obvious solutions to
your problem:
1) Create an enhanced version of the subRecord which saves the init
routine's address and executes it under certain conditions.
2) Write your subroutine so that it calls the record's init routine,
depending on the value of some of the input fields.
