The old caget, caput in the ca directory can only accept
a single 'pvname' on the command line.

While the newer version of caget, caput in the EzcaScan directory
can accept single or multiple pvnames on the command line and few
new features. At APS the newer version are used.

To access the newer version of caget, caput a user has to make
sure the LD_LIBRARY_PATH envrionment is correctly set.
For example, at APS the /usr/local/epics/extensions/lib/$HOST_ARCH
is included in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH, where HOST_ARCH can be either
solaris-sparc(R3.14.. built) or solaris(R3.13.. built)

I hope this help.
