We are in the process of upgrading from EPICS 3.13.5 and R3.13.7. Everything works fine on solaris but on Linux I do not get any channel communication from IOCs unless I specify EPICS_CA_ADDR_LIST. This did work on R3.13.5 without this specification. My 3.13.5 distribution came from a tar.gz file from APS. My 3.13.7 came directly from APS CVS. Is there a difference in settings in config files that can cause this. John, When you say you got 3.13.7 from the CVS repository, do you mean you did a cvs checkout or export giving the R3-13-7 release tag? If so that should be correct - I'm just checking the obvious thing here to start with. In general I would always recommend using a packaged distribution unless you're a developer and going to want to commit changes back in - you can then be certain that you're getting the right version. - Andrew -- "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans." - John Lennon
