See if the file exists in the directory

/usr/local/epics/extensions/lib/solaris

Remember to change solaris to your OS when you take a look and also epics
may be in a different parent directory on your system..

The following is a listing of all the files in my extensions/lib/solaris
directory:

libANLwidgets.a libSDDS1c.a libezcaScan.so libnamelist.a
libChanArchIO.a libTools.a libfftpack.a libpprsyd.a
libEzcaScan.a libarAccess.a libgd.a librpnlib.a
libEzcaScan.so libdev.a libmatlib.a libsca.a
libJpt.a libezca.a libmdbcommon.a libsddsIDL.a
libLca.a libezca.so libmdblib.a libsddsIDL.so
libLca.so libezcaIDL.a libmdbmth.a libtclCa8.a
libPrintUtils.a libezcaIDL.so libmdbplt.a libtclCa8.so
libSDDS1.a libezcaScan.a libmeschach.a

You may have the file libSDDS1c.so which is a dynamically linking library
whereas the *.a files are static libraries. You should change the settings
in the make file to build either dynamically or statically. Some times you
may have noticed a loading error when you execute a program involving
"ld.so.1" this means the dynamic loader cannot find the library xxxx.so in
its search path.

`/usr/local/epics/extensions/src/SDDS/SDDSlib/O.linux-x86'
