You have to build the SDDS package before building BURT. The SDDS build
creates the file libSDDS1.a which is what ld is looking for, and installs
it automatically into the extensions/lib/<arch> directory (assuming you've
installed the SDDS source into the same extensions tree where you've put
the BURT source).
