At first glance, it looks like the installation failed somehow and e.g a mix
of two versions is currently installed. Does the plain interpreter run at all
('tclsh' as well as 'wish')? If yes, what versions do they report
('return $tcl_version' or 'return $tk_version' resp.).
Did you install to the "default" install-location (usually /usr/local)?
If so, and something went wrong, it might have collided with a previously
installed version.
Did the patch apply corerectly?
On the other hand, I'd suggest (for Windows/Linux/Solaris/HP-UX) installing
the binary-distributions provided by ActiveState (aspn.activestate.com). They
have the two stable Tcl/Tk-releases 8.3.5 and 8.4.1 available for download.
But if you *really* need 8.3.2 and a special patch you will have to compile
it yourself.
The "Tcl Developer Xchange" (www.scriptics.com) is a pretty good
starting-point for Tcl/Tk-related information.
Hope it helps,
Thomas
