What a coincidence!!!
We have also just ordered some DIN-mount PC (PC/104 form factor) from Kontron (formerly PEP modular) and have an arrangement to look at their driver software. I believe the Profibus hardware is based on the Siemens ASPC2 chip. We are hoping to run Linux.
In discussion with SST, it appears that they also have a similar offering and a development kit for Linux. I've heard that before though, and it turned out to be the source code to the DOS driver, but it's worth a closer look to speed up development.
When you start to put together your team, let me know how I can contribute. Feel free to contact me directly.
